Google’s Inaugural PageRank Update In 2013

The inaugural Google PageRank update for 2013 has been released. Even though Google updates the PageRank values in the Google Toolbar once in 3 months or so, the previous updates were in August and November 2012.

While PageRank still plays an important role of the algorithm, SEO professionals know that the toolbar PageRank is considered outdated and not much of any use. On top of that there are various other elements of the Google algorithm that may or may not be as significant as PageRank.

Google PageRank is an algorithm introduced by Google to provide weight to the respective website from 0 to 10 according to the quality of the website. According to this algorithm, the primary way of measuring the quality of the website is simply how relatively important are the website links directed to a particular website.
