• Look for a pc that allows for flexibility, this means you can use the digital pens, stylus or a mobile keyboard.
• Decide what size screen you want for your tablet PC. They typically range from the small 8.9" screen to the large 13.3" screen. Keep in mind that bigger isn't always better or more expensive. 
• Battery life should be long, over four hours is considered a good battery life.
• Look for tablet PCs with speech recognition software.
• Choose a style that's right for you. Almost as important as features is style. You'll be stuck with this tablet PC for a while, so make sure you like the way it looks.
• The amount of storage space doesn’t just apply to how many songs or photos you can hold on your tablet. It also dictates how many apps you can store on your tablet. So before choosing tablets PCs see the device storage space.
• Check for the inputs, pens, keyboard and point sticks are necessary.
• Look for the audio system; it should include headset adaptor, microphone input and the facility to attach external speakers.
• Determine what kind of ports you want. Typical ports include Type I and II PC card slots, SD card reader, USB ports, VGA port, docking connector, microphone jack, and headphone jack.
• Handwriting capability should allow you to write and store information with digital link and Windows Journal.
