We discussed what is Google Drive and why it's important to use a cloud based file storage service. Now we will see some of the important features of it which makes it such a powerful cloud service and then i will show you the installation of it's client application in your PC

Important Features Of Google Drive 1. It’s FREE. Hell yea it’s. At least the basic account with 5GB online storage is free for you to use it. If you want more space, then you have to pay for it. (for most of the average computer users, the free account is more than enough, at least for the documents) Easy Access 2. You can access your files from anywhere in the world using any web browser. 3. If you install Google Drive application on your tablet and smart phones, than you can access your files on the go 4. All of your files gets sunchronized. Means, changes made from one device will reflect everywhere. You just need an Internet connection and rest Google Drive will make sure that all of your files are up-to-date and available everywhere. Share and Collaborate 5. You can easily share your files / documents with your family and friends. 6. You and your friends can also work on the same document simultaneously using any device and as I said above that the changes will reflect on each of your device instantly. Create Documents Online 7. You can also create new documents online. Means, you don’t need any kind of special software to create your CV, Presentation or Expense sheet. Just visit the Google Drive online, create a document and save it. As simple as that. (By the way you have to save it in a proper format in order to open these files in your own computer, or if you want to forward it to your friends) Gmail and Google Drive Integration 8. Attaching files in the email is quite an old fashion method. You can simply send the link of a file stored at your Google Drive and your friends can easily access / download it. 9. Recently Google has upgraded its Gmail service by enabling users to send mails with a file attachment of 10GB. Though it’s only possible if your files are uploaded at Google Drive. You can insert files from Google Drive directly into an email without leaving your Gmail. Google Search 10. Since it’s a Google service, they have embedded their powered search engine in Google Drive as well, which can be used not only for to search for your files and documents, but also for texts within the documents. 11. The amazing thing is that you are able to search for scanned text in images. Moreover, pictures stored on Google Drive can be searched based on descriptions, like Mountains, Rivers, Sun etc.
