Why is LTE such a renowned form of technology?

LTE is in fact known as long term evolution technology. This technology is actually an evolution of the technology of data transfer that already exists. But just as every evolution, this technology is actually far more modern and equipped than the existing technologies. The long term evolution technology has been manufactured in such a manner that it possesses maximum level of efficiency. It has been equipped with the ability to work on the same infrastructure that the CDMA and GSM networks work on. This means that in places that the new infrastructure cannot be placed due to terrain issues or cost issues, you need not worry. Your long term evolution network will work just fine for you. It will use the existing broadband framework that would surely have been laid down in your area that is under concern.
The LTE networks can actually deliver immensely fast speeds on both the download and the upload. That depends on what you are using and with what device. Long term evolution uses some of the most recent and modernized technologies ever to exist. It makes use of the MIMO technology that is known as the multiple in multiple out technology; just as the name suggests it works with multiple number of media files at the very same time. This increases the efficiency of the data transfer that you perform.
4G LTE technology
When it comes to download, the LTE can actually deliver you a speed that reaches its peak value at about 100 megabits per second. And it gives its users an upload value that reaches a staggering fifty megabits per second. See the difference in speeds when you compare these values with your ordinary LAN or Wi-Fi connection speeds. It also employs and makes use of OFDMA which is known as orthogonal frequency division multiple accesses. To help increase the download speed, it employs the air interface technology so that the download is an efficient and smooth process.
To increase the speed associated with uploading any media or item the long term evolution makes use of the single carrier frequency equalizer that is focused on keeping the speed of the download constant and high. All of these as a consequence ensure that the capacity of the network is rich and broad and that there is little or no latency in the network when the data is being transferred in the network or from one network to another network. It can work on frequency channels of various frequencies each of which is usually 5 megahertz long. The frequency spectrum spreads from 1.4 megahertz to a stunning value of 20 megahertz, and in every second in just a mere five megahertz there are twenty live users who are active. In LTE, you have a choice to either work in single spectrum or work in pair spectrums. Long term evolution networks use existing frameworks which means that the overall cost of setting up a framework is reduced to a considerable extent.

Mobile Phone Accessories of the Future

Taking a closer look at how mobile phone technology is now and how it was ten years ago, there is a striking difference anyone can notice. For people who rely on such technology on a daily basis, it seems that good news are at the horizon, because on a yearly basis there are more and more mobile phone accessories are entering the market with a new set of useful features. All of this is due to the continued research by companies that want to find out all about what people need and how their needs change and the best ways to fulfil them. And when talking about mobile technology, we certainly need to talk about phone accessories as well. With so many handsets being released, there are always new accessories being launched on the market. So with that being said, what future mobile phone accessories will we be able to see soon?
sticky tech

Sticky technology
Well, marketers and technologists in the mobile phone industry speculate that in the near future, we will be able to purchase accessories that allow our handsets to stick to our skin. This means you will be able to say goodbye to those nasty phone clips which you seem to always lose or find a bit annoying to use. The way this mechanism will work is that the user you will have to press a special button and the phone will stick to the user’s skin. When he will want to use it, he will have to press the same or a different button for the release. In order for this accessory to work, nano-tech bonding technology will be used. This is an amazing technology which will allow millions of people to finally drop some of their worries about losing their phones or carrying them.
Fold out screen

Fold out screen
Well, this is certainly something you have seen in Science Fiction movies and when it will appear, it will allow you to stick out the screen of your handset up to thirty inches. As you can imagine, it will completely change the experience of using a mobile phone. This means you will never have to worry about having an iPad with you to see high resolution pictures, because with such a massive screen, everything will be more portable, brighter and larger. When you won’t use it, you will be able to fold the screen into a size of three by three inches.

Body energy phone charging
As much as you would disregard this as being a too far off into the future thing, you should know that this technology is going to be here soon. This means that you will no longer have to depend on power outlets to charge your phone, but do that with the energy in your body. As you can imagine, it will come in handy especially when you will travel to remote places and you won’t have that extra set of batteries and also another way to charge your phone. Think about the possibilities, especially when you’ll be in an emergency and require immediate contact with the police.
With that being said, these are the most awesome technologies we can soon expect to become a reality. Each of them is amazing and when they’ll become possible, it will change the way we use our phones forever.

How to Recover Lost Files by using Cloud Technology

When you have your computer crash, it can be devastating. Not only are computers expensive to replace, they have many files on them that took you hours to create. If you use the cloud for storing your data, though, the odds of you losing important files completely is immediately erased.

Cloud management software solutions have come a long way over the last few years. It has become quicker and much more accessible to the average member of the public. One of the great things that the cloud can do is make sure that you never lose a file again. If you work a lot on the computer, this is a trait that will most likely interest you. We’ve all experienced computer issues and have lost important files from time to time, but if you routinely use the cloud, this is a problem that will be reduced to only a minor inconvenience in the future.
One of the great and relatively new features that cloud computing comes with is updates in real time. For example, if you save files on Google Drive, you will have your files saved automatically every few seconds. So if your computer does breakdown, that doesn’t mean your files will all be lost with it. Suppose your hard drive completely fries and the computer shop cannot salvage your files. If you’ve been around computers for a while, this probably has happened to you or someone you know. In the event that you were working on a Google Drive file, you wouldn’t have to worry at all about that file, even if you had made extensive changes to it right before the malfunction occurred. This cloud app will always make changes in real time and ensure that you can access that file from any other computer that’s connected to the internet. This will save you a very big headache.

Another great file saving app to use is Dropbox. With Dropbox, all you have to do to share your files on the cloud is click and drag them to the Dropbox share folder. Here, your files will be preserved and anyone that you choose can gain access to them. So if you’re in California and your office is in New York, you can both work on and update files automatically. And if for some reason one of those computers stops working, all data will be preserved.

The cloud has many uses, and recovering seemingly lost files is just one aspect of this. By using the cloud, you will be saving yourself a ton of time, energy, and money, especially if you do ever experience a computer malfunction. No one plans on these things happening, but they will from time to time. Your best bet is to be as prepared as you can be and make sure that a catastrophe of this sort does as little damage as possible. You can always buy a new computer, but recreating some files can be a lot more work than it’s worth. It’s better to be prepared and never need to rely on your backups than to take a chance and lose everything. What’s more, for personal use, the cloud can easily be used for little to no cost. This eliminates a big reason to not use this file storage method. If you have no expenses, you have nothing to lose.

There you will find the options for restore or empty the recycle bin.  There you often empty the recycle bin without checking and you completely lost your file by your own mistake.
Just because you deleted file don’t think that the data has been completely removed. The beauty of Windows comes here too, when you delete the file Windows simply marks that section of your hard drive as free, writable space. This applies for your other storage mediums like flash drives, old hard drive, and memory cards etc, too.
Now there are wide ranges of software available on the internet market some for free and some for money. This software will completely check your hard drive and reconstruct the files that you have lost.

List Of Recovery Software’s

In that way recuva is one the software used to recovery the file or folders that you had lost. Recuva is free software that recovers deleted files and lets you to restore the files back into hard drive. It uses the NTFS file system or FAT and exFAT systems. But in free version it doesn’t recovers as much as it does in purchased version. It is easy to use and the best tool.
Pandora recovery is free recovery tool that allows you to find the lost files and restore again to your hard drive. It supports NTFS and FAT formats and also it supports the variety of other formats. It also has the option to preview the file without performing recovery.
It is another simple and powerful free recovery tool. Restoration will find everything you have deleted from your computer. If you are using the Windows 7 or vista then you can come across a pop up that you need administrator privileges to run restoration. At that time just right click on the .exe file and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
It one of the free recovery utility for Windows that finds the entire lost file on your hard drive and helps to restore the files. It also supports to recover on flash drive or SD card. It supports both NTFS and FAT files systems and the interface is so easy to use.

How to Secure Your USB Flash Drive

How to Secure Your USB Flash Drive

USB flash drive is the best and handy way to transfer data’s from one computer to another one.  But the major problem in USB flash drives is that it gets affected to viruses, malwares and other hazardous contents quickly which directly affects the computer.
So securing your USB flash drive from getting infected from various dangerous attacks is very important. There are number of external programs  available to do this, but here is one way which you can do in your computer without downloading anything.

Securing Your USB Flash Drive

Here is one simple method to secure your USB flash drive and this method should work different in windows computer. In this method NTFS file format security permission is required to secure your USB flash drive.
There are two things you should remember before attempting this method. Firstly, you can convert USB into NTFS file format if you are using mainly it on windows but if you are using the USB on different OS platform like Linux, Ubuntu, Windows and Mac OS etc. then it safer for USB drive to keep in its default files system Fat32. Most of the USB flash drives have Fat32 as it default file system.
Secondly, if your USB is less than 2 GB in size then it is better not convert to NTFS file system, since the performance of the USB may get affected.

Convert USB Flash Drive to NTFS

Very first insert your USB to serial port.
After your system reads the USB drive go to Device Manager.
In Device Manager Check for Disk Drivers, there you can find your USB driver name right click on it and select Properties.
disk drivers for USB Flash Drive
Device properties window will open, now select the Policies tab and choose Better performance.
policies for USB Flash Drive
After completing the above steps right click on the USB and select Format.
Before finalizing for format, click on the File system and select NTFS and click on Start in the format window.
format USB Flash Drive
Once you’re done with formatting your USB drive with NTFS file system. Now you have to configure your USB drive root to read-only in the security permissions.
Open computer and right click on the USB and select Properties.
The USB drive properties window will open where you need to click on the security tab and check for read-only rights on the root folder and confirm that it is Everyone. Then create a Write folder and assign read/write permissions for it.
USB Flash Drive properties
That’s it, now viruses on computers can’t able to write to the root of the USB, this means you can insert your USB drive without any worry and you can also save your data on to the Write folder.

Use Google Translate Offline – Download Language

Google Translator is one of the easiest way to translate the words that are in different languages to your own (favourite) language. Now Google has made little easier to use its language translation, by supporting it to work offline in smartphones.
Yes now you can use offline language translation app on Android. The new version of language translation is available for Android 2.3 and higher versions, also it supports the translation of vertical text in Korean, Japanese and Chinese with your camera.
So in order to use this, you need to download language packs, there are more than 50 language packs available for now. Although offline feature is a good addition to Google Translate but it doesn’t have all the features that are present in the online mode. Also, another bad news is that the iOS versions have no support to the offline language packs up to now.

Using Google Translate

To download the language packs, first go to Menu in the app and select Offline languages.
Then you need to tap on the pin icon, which will be next to the languages you want download.
Once done with this, then you will see a pop-up to select download option, you can download the language packs via your mobile data network or using Wi-Fi. Now you can see the progress of language packs being downloading, under the installed section.
To enable the offline language packs between any two languages, users need to choose them in the offline languages menu.
Use Google Translate Offline Language
Once you finish the downloading of your favorite language packs, it’s time to test it as it works in offline, so in order to check your language packs better you put your phone to Airplane mode. You can notice the “OFFLINE” underneath the translated text, so whenever you use the Google Translate in offline mode it will appear.
This is really a useful for those who are on the go and places with a poor internet connection and Wi-Fi signal. Download Google Translator app from here for Android.

Global internet slows after 'biggest attack in history'

Global internet slows after 'biggest attack in history'

The internet around the world has been slowed down in what security experts are describing as the biggest cyber-attack of its kind in history.

A row between a spam-fighting group and hosting firm has sparked retaliation attacks affecting the wider internet.

It is having an impact on popular services like Netflix - and experts worry it could escalate to affect banking and email systems.

Five national cyber-police-forces are investigating the attacks.

Spamhaus, a group based in both London and Geneva, is a non-profit organisation which aims to help email providers filter out spam and other unwanted content.

To do this, the group maintains a number of blocklists - a database of servers known to be being used for malicious purposes.

Recently, Spamhaus blocked servers maintained by Cyberbunker, a Dutch web host which states it will host anything with the exception of child pornography or terrorism-related material.

Sven Olaf Kamphuis, who claims to be a spokesman for Cyberbunker, said, in a message, that Spamhaus was abusing its position, and should not be allowed to decide "what goes and does not go on the internet".

Spamhaus has alleged that Cyberbunker, in cooperation with "criminal gangs" from Eastern Europe and Russia, is behind the attack.

Cyberbunker has not responded to the BBC's request for comment.
'Immense job'

Steve Linford, chief executive for Spamhaus, told the BBC the scale of the attack was unprecedented.

"We've been under this cyber-attack for well over a week.

'Decapitating the internet'
Internet browser address bar

Writing exactly one year ago for the BBC, Prof Alan Woodward predicted the inherent weaknesses in the web's domain name system.

He wrote: "It is essentially the phone book for the internet. If you could prevent access to the phone book then you would effectively render the web useless."

Read Prof Woodward's full article

"But we're up - they haven't been able to knock us down. Our engineers are doing an immense job in keeping it up - this sort of attack would take down pretty much anything else."

Mr Linford told the BBC that the attack was being investigated by five different national cyber-police-forces around the world.

He claimed he was unable to disclose more details because the forces were concerned that they too may suffer attacks on their own infrastructure.

The attackers have used a tactic known as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), which floods the intended target with large amounts of traffic in an attempt to render it unreachable.

In this case, Spamhaus's Domain Name System (DNS) servers were targeted - the infrastructure that joins domain names, such as bbc.co.uk, the website's numerical internet protocol address.

Mr Linford said the attack's power would be strong enough to take down government internet infrastructure.

"If you aimed this at Downing Street they would be down instantly," he said. "They would be completely off the internet."

He added: "These attacks are peaking at 300 gb/s (gigabits per second).

"Normally when there are attacks against major banks, we're talking about 50 gb/s."
Clogged-up motorway

The knock-on effect is hurting internet services globally, said Prof Alan Woodward, a cybersecurity expert at the University of Surrey.

"If you imagine it as a motorway, attacks try and put enough traffic on there to clog up the on and off ramps," he told the BBC.

"With this attack, there's so much traffic it's clogging up the motorway itself."

Arbor Networks, a firm which specialises in protecting against DDoS attacks, also said it was the biggest such attack they had seen.

"The largest DDoS attack that we have witnessed prior to this was in 2010, which was 100 gb/s. Obviously the jump from 100 to 300 is pretty massive," said Dan Holden, the company's director of security research.

"There's certainly possibility for some collateral damage to other services along the way, depending on what that infrastructure looks like."

Spamhaus said it was able to cope as it has highly distributed infrastructure in a number of countries.

The group is supported by many of the world's largest internet companies who rely on it to filter unwanted material.

Mr Linford told the BBC that several companies, such as Google, had made their resources available to help "absorb all of this traffic".

The attacks typically happened in intermittent bursts of high activity.

"They are targeting every part of the internet infrastructure that they feel can be brought down," Mr Linford said.

"Spamhaus has more than 80 servers around the world. We've built the biggest DNS server around."

Firefox is the most vulnerable browser, says Sourcefire Read more: http://www.computing.co.uk/ctg/news/2252157/firefox-is-the-most-vulnerable-browser-says-sourcefire#ixzz2Ok4Udhhi Computing - Insight for IT leaders Claim your free subscription today.

Internet Explorer's poor reputation for security is undeserved, with Mozilla Firefox actually the most vulnerable internet browser in common usage.
That's according to research by network security solutions provider Sourcefire, which examined vulnerability data from the past 25 years.
Further reading

In the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) framework, factors including the location of the vulnerability, what it affects and whether confidential data is at risk are combined to give a CVSS score: Low (0-4), Medium (4-7) High (7-9) or Critical (10). Mozilla Firefox came out of the research as the browser with the highest number of "critical" vulnerabilities, and second in terms of both "high" and total vulnerabilities.
"One of the conclusions that we saw was Internet Explorer's bad reputation might not be completely deserved because Firefox actually has a lot more vulnerabilities than [Microsoft] Internet Explorer," Dr Yves Younan, senior research engineer in Sourcefire's Vulnerability Research Team and author of the report told Computing.
"Firefox is the one with the most critical vulnerabilities: 174 over the period we looked at. Then we found that actually the top three products are Mozilla products, so SeaMonkey and Thunderbird are numbers two and three. Because they share code bases, the same vulnerabilities will be in all these products from Mozilla," said Younan.
Of Firefox's main competitors in the browser market, Google Chrome was found to have the second highest number of critical vulnerabilities (95), followed by Internet Explorer then Safari.
Younan also told Computing that Abode's Flash Player may also be undeservedly getting the blame for poor security.
"Another interesting thing we saw is although Flash Player has a bad reputation for security, it's actually only number five in the critical vulnerabilities list," he said.
Sourcefire also tested mobile operating systems and discovered Apple iOS for iPhone has more vulnerabilities overall than its three main rivals combined.
"iPhone had a total of 210 vulnerabilities, followed by Android with 24, Windows 14 and BlackBerry with 11. So even though Android has a larger market share, it actually has fewer vulnerabilities than iPhone," said Younan, adding that Google Android is subject to more malware "due to its open system and fragmented OS."
According to Sourcefire, the way to prevent vulnerabilities in software on all systems and products is to improve the quality of the code they're built upon.
"The best approach is better programming: better quality control that adheres to programming standards. Making sure that programmers don't use vulnerable functions," said Younan.
Adobe Flash Player and Oracle's Java are among products that have suffered from security scares in recent months because of vulnerabilities within their code.

PaperTab – a future technology to change your complete working style

PaperTab is a cool future technology going to change your entire work style and office environment. This is a robust, flexible, bendable and foldable tablet that will be helpful in saving our nature also.

Soon we are going to face a super cool technology from Plastic Logic designed to aim at removing need of paper and large computer monitors, in future. The company developed this technology with joint efforts of Intel Labs and Queens University. This is much lighter and thinner when compared with other tablets in market and robust against drops as well.
Why we need this nature saving technology?
In fact, research on such technologies is now demand of the time. The substantial requirement for paper works in almost every sector including - industries, offices, colleges, libraries and other public and private places resulting enormous demand of paper. Fulfilling need of such a higher demand is leading to heavy jungle cutting and we are losing our natural resources, very fast.
As per resources, almost 100 million Ton of paper is being produced and consumes in USA only, that will be continue for long in future also. Thus, this is the high time when we need to find out best alternatives of these nature’s gifts, ignoring to which may lead us to a dark future.
Specifications
At CES 2013, company showcased this future technology boasting of a 10.7 inches fully interactive plastic touch screen display. This is a highly flexible and thin shaped tablet encompassing a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 processing engine.
What is new in PaperTab?
The functionalities that takes this innovative product to stand out of the crowd is its flexible plastic built up, allowing it to bend like a paper and the way humans would interact with this electronic paper.
Unlike currently available standard glass-based display devices, it will be having a fully operative plastic touch screen. Just like a paper which at a time can have single written note, each tab will precisely be working for single app, at a moment. So, you will be having a complete magazine or folder with multiple paper tabs inside, each working for an individual application, responsible for a respective task.
How does it work?
You will work on it like contemporary touch screens devices but for a specific task, various advanced features like tapping of NFC (Near Field Communication) will let the user interact to it. For instance, you may have two photos and a draft text on two different tabs in a magazine and you need to mail them to your friend. First, with tapping both papers, you would attach both images to text and then send them by placing it in an out tray or using other inbuilt function like bending the paper’s right corner instead of pressing a button for email.
Advantages of PaperTab

  • You will file hundreds of PaperTab in single document very easily and each paper will be having link to its relative pages.
  • You will not require taking lots of printouts on papers which will be helpful in controlling paper wastage.
  • To make a large page by placing multiple pages together, side by side, artists and engineers will be making large sized sketches and architectural drawings.
  • Even you would not require a touch screen monitor to type in contents. You would be directly typing or writing on each Paper as you do with your notebook.
Conclusion
Just like Samsung Youm, PaperTab is also a revolutionary innovation that will not only change look of your smart gadgets but also entire working environment. Just after few years, you will be carrying your multi-colored plastic sheet shaped computers and tablet in your hand. You would be keeping your multiple computers in a single folder, bending them, folding them and even carrying them in very harsh weather conditions.

essential to the attainment of human happiness. I call them the "7 C's in the pursuit of happiness." One is not more important than any of the others.

1 -Compassion
In order to evolve into a state of happiness, you must develop your in-born ability to care about life, to value life in all its forms, to engage in loving, kind actions, to cultivate an attitude of what Nobel laureate, Dr. Albert Schweitzer called "reverence for life," (including your own).

2 -Contentment
Inner calm. Peace of mind and heart does not mean acceptance of everything that happens. It does mean letting go of fear. When you live life fearlessly, you experience a kind of peace that permeates every cell of your body, every thought of your mind, every emotion of your heart, every element of your spirit.

3 -Connection
Without effectively connecting to other humans, you become less than human yourself. Connection means involving yourself in relationship to everyone around you, connecting to your own inner life, and becoming aware of the environment in which you live. Learn to create high-quality relationships, and your happiness is almost guaranteed.

4 -Communication
Communication is our primary method for
connection. It increases your knowledge, your understanding, and your awareness. Language is precious. Words are the building blocks of all happiness.

5 -Commitment
Oprah Winfrey says that what motivates her to get up in the morning is "my commitment to my life and fulfilling my life purpose." If one of your life's purposes is to enhance your happiness, committing your life to the service of others brings more happiness than you can imagine. Happiness requires you commit yourself to something larger than yourself.

6 -Consciousness
Most spiritual teachers believe we are living in a sleep-like or dream state. In order to be happy, one must increase one's awareness of life. And the single awareness that is most conducive to happiness is: the impermanence of everything. Life is in a constant state of flux, of change, of rhythm and of evolution.

7 -Creativity
Creating your life experience by consciously
choosing your thoughts, your actions, your decisions and your
attitudes will allow you to attain personal happiness regardless of external circumstances.

The pursuit of happiness is not something you search for or attain from outside your skin. Happiness develops from within. You were born to be happy. You were given life to experience happiness. Pursuing it is your right. Sail the 7 C's of happiness and the pursuit of it becomes obvious and being alive becomes the happiest of moments.

7 Reasons Why You Should Build Your Website on WordPress

Have you heard of brands like CNN, New York Times, Ford and People Magazine? There is something common in them and that is the use of WordPress for their brand development. WordPress is a content management system (CMS) platform that web designers, bloggers and big brands trust. If you wish to start a blog or business, here are 7 reasons for you to use WordPress and nothing else.

Reasons to use WordPress

WordPress is Free!

WordPress is perhaps the only free CMS platform worth using. Given the magnanimity of its strong CMS, its worldwide usage and easy setup, it is surprising that WordPress is still free. If you want to play around with a blog setup, go for the free WordPress version. But when you want to set up a serious blog or business, go for a paid hosting and you can install WordPress from the hosting panel. This way you won’t have ‘.wordpress.com’ in your domain name.

WordPress just for blogging, no more.

WordPress has come a long way from ‘just’ a way to run blogs to a comprehensive content management system with which you can set up different types of websites like a classified site, job board, portfolio, forum and business website. All you need is a good hosting provider, a stellar theme, a good designer and some good plugins (free, of course).

Use both free or premium themes

WordPress dashboard contains both free and premium themes. The premium themes are paid, of course, but the price they ask is worth it because WordPress, if not anything else, is known for its user friendly and search engine friendly themes. Google and users love WordPress. Most of the free and premium themes do not need extensive customization at all. Just install and activate it.

WordPress system is SEO friendly

The major attraction of WordPress is that it is very SEO friendly. The codes are clean for the WordPress user to understand and it gives great readability experience to the viewer. If you ever want to start an online business, make sure to include WordPress as part of online content promotion strategy. Moreover, Google loves WordPress so you got to have it anyhow.

WordPress is not going anywhere

Unlike other CMS alternatives which come and go in few years, WordPress is here to stay. Thousands of websites begin daily and 99% of them use WordPress. A report in 2012 said that 14.7% of the world’s top million websites use WordPress, which is a significant growth from 8.5% in 2009. With such a huge ever increasing worldwide presence, it is not possible that the CMS platform will suddenly shut down in the next couple of years.

You don’t need to be a tech geek to use WordPress

WordPress sets up in 2-3 minutes. You could make your first blog post live in the next 5 minutes. In other words, you don’t need to be a tech geek to understand and use WordPress. You don’t have to be a programmer and a web designer to use the CMS. If you know how to use MS Word, you can use this CMS easily. The dashboard layout is very user friendly. Each aspect is sequentially laid out so users know what steps to follow. Moreover, WordPress is known for its plugins which really enhances its use. The CMS has a large reservoir of plugins and you can install them easily.

Whole world supports WordPress

WordPress eliminates the continuous need of a website designer because it has a hugely popular global community of supports who fixes security issues, identifies and corrects bugs, introduces new functionalities and much more. A WordPress website is your own; you can run it single handedly with global community support.
We will wrap up the discussion by saying that WordPress is the best CMS platform out there and you should use it.

Windows 7 is full of fun. After Win XP, Windows 7 is the only operating system which users can really rely on. At least I am enjoying using this version of windows a lot because it has tons of interesting features, which will give you fantastic PC experience. Most Importantly, It's se easy to use that any level of user can easily operate it after understanding the basics of it.

People who are familiar with the Send To option in the right click context menu, they know the importance of this option. It really saves your time by quickly sending the files directly to the My Documents or any other folder. You can also add your favorite folder in the send to menu easily. There are many ways to tweak right click context menu but Windows 7 has a very nice hidden option available, which increases the number of Send To menu items.

This is indeed a brilliant article and needs to be read again and again ..

This is indeed a brilliant article and needs to be read again and again ...

Here is a list of 15 things, which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and you'll feel much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering and instead of letting them all go and allowing ourselves to be stress-free and happy, we cling on to them.

Well, not anymore. Starting today, we will give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Ready? Here we go!

1. Give up your need to always be right.
There are so many of us who can't stand the idea of being wrong wanting to always be right even at the risk of ending great relationships or causing a great deal of stress and pain for us and for others. It's just not worth it. Whenever you feel the 'urgent' need to jump into a fight over who is right and who is wrong, ask yourself this question from Dr. Wayne Dyer: 'Would I rather be right, or would I rather be kind?' What difference will that make? Is your ego really that big?

2. Give up your need for control.
Be willing to give up your need to always control everything that happens to you and around you situations, events, people, etc. Whether they are loved ones, co-workers, or just strangers you meet on the street just allow them to be. Allow everything and everyone to be just as they are and you will see how much better will that make you feel.

'By letting it go, it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond winning.' Lao Tzu

3. Give up on blame.
Give up on your need to blame others for what you have or don't have, for what you feel or don't feel. Stop giving your powers away and start taking responsibility for your life.

4. Give up your self-defeating self-talk.
Oh my. How many people are hurting themselves because of their negative, polluted and repetitive self-defeating mindset? Don't believe everything that your mind is telling you especially if it's negative and self-defeating. You are better than that.

'The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive.' Eckhart Tolle

5. Give up your limiting beliefs about what you can or cannot do, about what is possible or impossible.
From now on, you are no longer going to allow your limiting beliefs to keep you stuck in the wrong place. Spread your wings and fly!

'A belief is not an idea held by the mind, it is an idea that holds the mind.' Elly Roselle

 Minimize Your Fear
The Wooden Bowl
The Tao of Forgiveness
The Falcon
A HERO who deserves all respect

6. Give up complaining.
Give up your constant need to complain about those many, many, maaany things people, situations and events that make you unhappy, sad and depressed. Nobody can make you unhappy, no situation can make you sad or miserable unless you allow it to. It's not the situation that triggers those feelings in you, but how you choose to look at it. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.

7. Give up the luxury of criticism.
Give up your need to criticize things, events or people that are different than you. We are all different, yet we are all the same. We all want to be happy, we all want to love and be loved and we all want to be understood. We all want something, and something is wished by us all.
8. Give up your need to impress others.
Stop trying so hard to be something that you're not just to make others like you. It doesn't work this way. The moment you stop trying so hard to be something that you're not, the moment you take of all your masks, the moment you accept and embrace the real you, you will find people will be drawn to you, effortlessly.

9. Give up your resistance to change.
Change is good. Change will help you move from A to B. Change will help you make improvements in your life and also the lives of those around you. Follow your bliss, embrace change don't resist it.

'Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.' Joseph Campbell

10. Give up labels.
Stop labeling the things, people or events that you don't understand as being weird or different and try opening your mind, little by little. Minds only work when open. The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.'

11. Give up on your fears.
Fear is just an illusion, it doesn't exist you created it. It's all in your mind. Correct the inside and the outside will fall into place.

'The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.' Franklin D. Roosevelt

12. Give up your excuses.
A lot of times we limit ourselves because of the many excuses we use. Instead of growing and working on improving ourselves and our lives, we get stuck and lie to ourselves, using all kind of excuses excuses that 99.9% of the time, are not even real.

13. Give up the past.
I know, I know. This one's hard. Especially when the past looks so much better than the present and the future looks so frightening. But, you have to take into consideration the fact that the present moment is all you have and all you will ever have. The past you are now longing for the past that you are now dreaming about was ignored by you when it was present. Stop deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and enjoy life. After all, life is a journey not a destination. Have a clear vision for the future, prepare yourself, but always be present in the now.

14. Give up attachment.
This is a concept that, for most of us, is so hard to grasp and I have to tell you that it was for me too (it still is), but it's not impossible. You get better and better at it with time and practice. The moment you detach yourself from all things (and that doesn't mean you give up your love for them because love and attachment have nothing to do with one another. Attachment comes from a place of fear, while love well, real love is pure, kind, and selfless; where there is love there can't be fear, and because of that, attachment and love cannot co-exist) you become so peaceful, so tolerant, so kind, and so serene. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand all things without even trying. A state beyond words.

15. Give up living your life to other people's expectations.
Way too many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live their lives according to what others think is best for them; they live their lives according to what their parents think is best for them; to what their friends, their enemies and their teachers, their government and the media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice, that inner calling. They are so busy with pleasing everybody, with living up to other people's expectations, that they lose control over their lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what they need and eventually, they forget about themselves. You have one life this one right now you must live it, own it, and especially don't let other people's opinions distract you from your path.

10 of the biggest IT sand traps

Many of the issues plaguing IT departments can be mitigated or sidestepped altogether. Here are some ways to deal with several common pitfalls.
IT faces challenges on a daily basis. But most experienced IT’ers have learned to avoid the worst sand traps so they can prevent time and energy drains. What are today’s biggest IT sand traps — and what best practices can you use to circumvent them?

1: Uncooperative users

Uncooperative users are still out there, as they have been through the years. Most don’t cooperate out of fear of a new application — or because of a comfort level with a present application that they don’t want to give up. It is important for IT to remember that when it changes an application, it also changes a person’s daily workflow. This can be disconcerting, even for younger users. The key is to engage users in application dialogues at the very beginning. Involve them in early app design and prototyping so they already know and buy into how the app is going to work before it is ever plugged into production.

2: Unhelpful users

Unhelpful users are trickier to work with because they frequently come in the guise of “helpful” individuals who cross a threshold when they become too helpful. They offer reams of tweak suggestions for apps and never want to accept an app as being complete for a given release. Enhancement creep of this nature introduces risk into IT project deadlines. The best way to deal with it is to establish firm cutoffs for app development and enhancement cycles that everyone agrees to.

3: Lack of tool integration

Everyone talks about cloud, mobile computing, and the blurring of lines between computing platforms. But vendors of infrastructure software don’t necessarily make managing across a diverse environment easier. Each vendor wants you to use its own toolset for management, and it isn’t always clear which tools are subordinate to other software infrastructure management tools.  Consequently, it becomes difficult to fit everything into an “uber” infrastructure solution where you really can see everything through a single pane of glass. The best thing for IT to do is to require prospective tool vendors to show what application programming interfaces (APIs) they have that work with other management software. The APIs can be tested with other software in a proof of concept (POC) before buying. Finally, avoid the use of homegrown tools that don’t readily interface with anything on the market.

4: Platform loyalty

IT’s strength is its technical know-how. This know-how is accumulated over the years and becomes a career calling card for most IT professionals. Unsurprisingly, the sledding can get rough when someone who has worked on say, UNIX, for 20 or 30 years, is told to move to a Linux environment.
One way to ease the transition (if it is necessary) is to introduce these individuals to the new platform and provide the training and support they need for the crossover. If they’re adamantly opposed to the change, there might be an opportunity for them to move into a maintenance role for systems that will continue to run on the old platform. If you can’t provide that role, as a last resort you might have to encourage them to seek employment elsewhere — in a shop that continues to use the platform they want to work on. In all cases, it is best to address these platform loyalty cases immediately and upfront, before resentment (and even lack of cooperation in projects) begins to set in.

5: Poor project management

Despite new project management techniques and tools, project management remains a weak area in IT. There are several reasons for it: a failure to cross-communicate across the project; the failure of project managers to “walk around” and really check out first-hand the status of work (besides just seeing the updates on a project tracking chart); and a breakdown of communications between the IT and the end user sides of the project team.
The best way to ensure great results in projects is to make projects smaller (and therefore more manageable), to encourage (and enforce) open communications, and to use collaborative project management tools that are now available in the market. It is equally important to perform post mortems of all project work — to learn what went right and what could have been done better on each project — and to take that knowledge into future projects.

6: Lack of documentation

Documentation isn’t stressed in IT, which makes it a weak link in most IT work. No wonder most IT departments report that upward of 50 percent of their time is consumed in app maintenance. Less time would be spent in maintenance if documentation of what the original app was doing (along with history of maintenance already performed) had been done. Two ways to combat this are the adoption of new app development software that automatically documents work and a build-in of project time for app documentation and QA of the doc.

7: Poor data quality

The best technology in the world isn’t going to change duplicate customer records with misspelled addresses or incomplete phone numbers. For data already on record, data deduplication can be used to ferret out duplicate records before they are stored or archived to disk. For new data, better field edits in applications can improve the quality of data that is being entered into data repositories.

8: Jargon

IT (like other technical disciplines) can become so comfortable using acronyms and jargon that it doesn’t realize that it is using these terms with business users who might not understand them. This can generate communications breakdowns or even intimidation in relationships. IT can avoid this by stressing (and if necessary, training) IT staffers who work with end users to avoid these specialized terms and to stick with plain English.

9: Unrealistic deadlines

The pace of business is relentless and quick. As usual, IT gets pushed into accepting project deadlines that are too aggressive for the work that needs to be done. When this happens, IT delivers incomplete projects that are missing key pieces that subsequent enhancement cycles must handle. This is okay if the business is in total agreement with the approach. (In fact, it has worked very well in some areas, such as marketing.) However, if there is a governance/security issue, or if the app is required to be both complete and thoroughly tested, it is IT’s responsibility to tell business management what the effort will take, how long it will take, and what the risks are if the effort is not undertaken.

10: Lack of people skills

IT continues to come up short in soft skill areas. CIOs should recognize this by budgeting for and providing people skills training to key IT contributors — and they should up the ante by soliciting feedback from end users on the quality of IT interpersonal communications.
