Dropbox is an excellent Online File Storage Service, depends how you use it. Though there are many other similar online services available, but I highly recommend everyone to use Dropbox and Google Drive as your primary file storage services. In fact, I recommend Dropbox to use it for the sharing and backup of your pictures, files and folders, while you should use Google Drive to store and share your documents online because you can also create Documents (word, spreadsheets, presentation) online.

It's a very small software which does nothing but syncs your local computer files (which you want to) with your online file storage account at Dropbox. After installing the client software, it will create a folder in your computer. Whatever you put in that folder, will automatically be uploaded to the Dropbox online (of course you need to have an active Internet connection for that).
