What is Cloud Computing?

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud Computing can be defined in basic words as , by using network of remote servers which are hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.

When you store data on or run programs from the local hard drive, that is called as local storage and computing. Everything we need is physically close to us, which means accessing our data should be faster and easier. Working off your hard drive is how the computer industry functioned for decades; some would argue it’s still superior to cloud computing.

Cloud Computing provides a simple way to access server, storage devices, differnt databases and a broad set of application services over the Internet. CCP(Cloud Computing Providers) own and maintain the network-connected hardware required for these application services, while you provision and use what you need via a web application.

=> Types of Cloud Computing:
IaaS
PaaS
SaaS

=> Let us understand it briefly:
> IaaS:
Infrastructure as a Service, also known as IaaS, contains the basic building blocks for cloud IT and typically provide access to networking features, computers, it can be virtual or on dedicated hardware , and data storage space. It provides you with the highest level of flexibility and management control.

> PaaS:
Platforms as a service remove the need for organizations to manage the underlying infrastructure (usually hardware and operating systems) and allow you to focus on the deployment and management of your applications.

> SaaS:
Software as a Service provides you with a completed product that is run and managed by the service provider. In several cases, people referring to Software as a Service are referring to end-user applications. SaaS is offering that you do not have to think about how the service is maintained or how the underlying infrastructure is managed; you only need to think about how you will use that particular piece software.
