Google Chrome has truly come a very long way since its inception. Today Chrome is several times faster, boasts loads of new features and also entering in competition with Firefox when it comes to Extensions. Chrome came up with the idea of extensions in late last year, which was the most wanted feature by users. Many users are still afraid to switch from Firefox to Chrome because of less add-on comparatively. But it goes without saying that ever since Chrome introduced extension support, its users are as eager as anyone to add new features to the browser. Now when the Google Chrome extension is more than 6 months old and is growing steadily it would be a nice idea to review which add-on are more popular among users. With that in mind, honeytechblog did a latest review (to date) on Top 10 Google Chrome Extensions.

10. Google Mail Checker Plus
302,429 users – Weekly installs: 23,878
Displays the number of unread messages in your Gmail and Google Apps inbox. Preview mail, read, delete, archive and mark as spam! 10 different icon sets, choose your favorite! Mail preview window, read mail without leaving the current tab. Delete, archive, spam, star and mark as read functionality. Desktop and sound notifications when new mail arrives. Google Apps For Your Domain support and more.
When it comes to Firefox extensions there are two drawbacks, one is hard to pick few best ones from the lot and other drawback is that some of the add-ons are created, but has no use and many are not updated so will not work with latest edition of Firefox. Well, it’s not the same in case of Chrome, as it carry less add-ons for now and are of great use.
Easier the compare with the usage numbers. Firefox possess more than two billion add-on downloads to date. The browser is five year old, Chrome’s most popular extension is used by 1.1 million people and gets 113,000 plus new downloads every week. The most popular add-on for Firefox gets about 884,000 downloads every week. It has been downloaded by 89 plus million people. So it looks like, scale wise, Chrome still has a lot of catching up to do.

Windows 8 Expected Features
Well it may be too early to discuss this but may be not, with Windows 8 leaked paper floating all over the internet, many IT Pros has claimed a lot about Microsoft’s new OS - Windows 8.
Related:
1. Touch Screens: We have already saw Touch Screen version of OS ie Windows 7, so it is sure that there must be a lot of improvements in it, may be like multi-touch capability and lot more.
2. Biometrics Support: New Windows 8 would have inbuilt Biometric password login support, now who need to type a password when you have your face or eye or finger print to do your work. Having said that it automatically enhances the security feature manifolds.
3. Faster Boot up: Ever since I started using computer the only thing that I hated is the Boot Screen and I hate waiting to let it get load, on average Vista 40 secs, Windows 7 took 27 secs to load, so we may expect some more loss of seconds in Windows 8.
4. An App Store: Apple’s App Store has been a raging success, as has Android’s Market. So Windows 8 appears as if it will also have an app store called, not surprisingly, “Windows Store.” But there are no indications how Microsoft will manage the countless thousands of apps available for Windows, or many other details about the store at this point.
Better identity management. The decks lay out a vision in which user accounts don’t just live on one PC — you can carry them from computer to computer, and to other devices. Identities can live and be backed up in the cloud. As a slide puts it, “Identity evolves from machine centric to user centric.”

'Go to' clouds of the future
I am often asked which companies I think will be the most dominant names in IT 10 years from now, thanks to cloud computing. My answer often surprises those who ask; not because the two companies I believe will be the most recongnized names in cloud-based IT services aren't considered players today, but rather because of why I believe they will be so recongized.
In this, the first of two posts exploring the companies that can best exploit the cloud model, I'll identify those two companies and explain why they best fit the needs of a large percentage of IT service customers. Then, in the second part of this series, I will explore several companies that will challenge those two leaders, possibly taking a leadership spot for theirselves.
But before I get into who these leaders are, I have to explain why success in cloud computing will be different in 10 years than it is today.
Why today's clouds don't represent tomorrow's biggest opportunity
Think about what cloud computing promises. Imagine being a company that relies on technology to deliver its business capability, but does not sell computing technology or services itself. Picture being able to deliver a complete IT capability to support your business, whatever it is, without needing to own a data center--or at least any more data center than absolutely necessary.
Imagine there being a widely available ecosystem to support that model. Every general purpose IT system (such as printing, file sharing or e-mail) has a wide variety of competing services to choose from. Common business applications, such as accounting/finance, collaboration/communications and human resources, have several options to choose from. Even industry specific systems, such as electronic health records exchanges and law enforcement data warehouses, have one or more mature options to choose from.
Need to write code to differentiate your information systems? There will be several options to choose from there, as well. Most new applications will be developed on platform as a service options, I believe, with vendors meeting a wide variety of potential markets, from Web applications to "big data" and business intelligence to business process automation. However, if you want (or need) to innovate the entire software stack, infrastructure services will also be readily available.
With such a rich environment to choose from, what becomes your biggest problem? I would argue that's an easy question to answer: integration. Your biggest problem by far is integrating all of those IT systems into a cohesive whole.
In fact, we see that today. Most cloud projects, even incredibly successful ones like Netflix's move to Amazon Web Services, focus efforts within one cloud provider or cloud ecosystem, and usually include applications and services that were developed to work together from the ground up. While there have been attempts to move and integrate disparate IT systems across multiple clouds, none of them stand out as big successes today.
While some may argue that's a sign of the nascent nature of cloud, I would argue that its also a sign that integrating systems across cloud services is just plain hard.
Why integrated services will drive the most revenue
Now imagine you are founding a small business like a consultancy or a new retail store. You need IT, you need it to "just work" with minimal effort and/or expertise, and you need it to be cost effective. What are you going to be looking for from "the cloud?"
There, again, I would argue the answer is easy: start-ups and small businesses will be seeking integrated services, either from one vendor, or a highly integrated vendor ecosystem. The ideal would be to sign up for one online account that provided pre-integrated financials, collaboration, communications, customer relationship management, human resources management, and so on.
In other words, "keep it simple, stupid." The cloud will someday deliver this for new businesses. But there are very few companies out there today that can achieve broad IT systems integration. I would argue the two most capable are Microsoft and Google.
"What?!?," you might be saying. "Both of those companies have been tagged as fading dinosaurs by the technorati in the last year. Why would anyone want to lock themselves into one vendor for IT services when the cloud offers such a broad marketplace--especially those two?"
To answer that, we need to look a little more closely at each vendor's current offerings, and stated vision.
Microsoft: it's all about the portfolio, baby!
Microsoft stands out for its breadth of offerings. While its infrastructure as a service and platform as a service offerings (both part of Azure) are central to its business model, it's the applications that will ultimately win them great market share.
Already, offerings such as Office 365 provide cloud-based versions of key collaboration and communications capabilities for a variety of business markets. However, Microsoft CEO, Steve Balmer, has also made it clear that every Microsoft product group is looking at how to either deliver their products in the cloud, or leverage the cloud to increase the utility of their products.
As every product group within Microsoft pushes to "cloudify" their offerings, I am betting similar effort will be put in to making sure the entire portfolio is integrated.
Combine the Dynamics portfolio with Sharepoint and Lync and add "Oslo"-based tools to integrate across system or organizational boundaries, and you've got a heck of an IT platform to get started with. Add in Azure, and you have the development platform services to allow you to customize, extend, or innovate beyond the base capabilities of Microsoft's services.
Google: Bringing consumer success to business
What impresses me most about Google's move towards the cloud has been its pure focus on the application. Google doesn't put forth offerings targeted at providing raw infrastructure. Even Google App Engine, one of the poster children of the platform as a service model, is built with making a certain class of applications--perhaps not surprisingly, Web applications--as easy to develop as possible. Most of the integration of the underlying platform elements has been done for the developer already.
However, it's when you look at its consumer application portfolio, and how it's modifying those applications for business, that you can see its real strength. Google takes chances on new Web applications all the time, and those who succeed--either by building a large user base, or by actually generating revenue--draw additional investment aimed at increasing the application's appeal to a broader marketplace. Google Mail is the most mature of these options, but Google Apps is not far behind.
What appears to be happeninging now, however, is a concerted effort by Google to build an ecosystem around its core application offerings. The Google Apps Marketplace is a great example of the company trying to build a suite of applications that integrate with or extend its base Google Apps and mail offerings.
Add the company's nascent suite of communications and collaboration tools, such as Google Voice and Buzz, and signs of integration among all of their offerings, and you can see the basis of a new form of IT platform that will especially appeal to small businesses and ad hoc work efforts.
There are no guarantees in cloud
As you can see, Microsoft and Google have the basic tools and expertise to deliver on the one-stop shop IT services model, and both have proven to me that they have the desire as well. However, neither company is a shoe-in for success in this space. There are two reasons for this, the most important of which is neither company has what I would call a spotless execution record. In fact, both have struggled mightily to impose change on their core business models.
Both companies will have to align their various efforts to see this vision through, even as it disrupts current markets. Each has plenty of applications that show great promise, but both are also a long way away from proving they can deliver on a one-stop shop vision.
The other reason is that there are a variety of worthy competitors vying for the "one-stop" throne. You may have been asking by now about Amazon, Salesforce.com, VMware, or the hosting companies, and telecoms. In the second post of the series, I'll outline my favorites to displace the two leaders, including one that may surprise you.
In the meantime, I think cloud services targeting developers will still get most of the press for the next several years. Achieving an integrated IT platform that serves multiple business markets is extremely difficult, and will take a true commitment and concerted effort by the company or companies that ultimately achieve that vision.

How to Lose Weight in 4 Weeks
To stay fit and maintain your shape a regular workout helps a lot. But when it comes to losing weight and getting back in shape, a regular workout or exercise routine won’t suffice. You will have to take it a step further and take care of your diet in order to lose weight. Even the gym instructors would tell you so. Exercise and diet are the two sides of a coin. You can’t achieve weight loss with just one of them. A regular exercise routine and a healthy diet is your route to salvation.
I’m following a Indian diet myself by a leading dietician. Me, my cousin, some of her friends and a lot of people I know have taken diet from this dietician. And we all have lost a considerable amount of weight to say the least.
You must be thinking that the diets given by the dieticians are personalized then how can we all follow the same diet routine with our different weights and blood groups. For starters, he doesn’t gives the diet according to the blood group. Though, generally the diets given by dieticians are personalized.
So if you think that you are doing everything right but still gaining weight, the first thing you should be doing is finding the underlying reason for it.
First things first, If everything with you is fine your weight gain is due to lethargy, wrong dietary habits and erratic routine. So When u go on a diet make sure that whatever plan u follow it must be timed right as well. You must wake up latest by 8:00 ( that’s for the late risers, even I used to wake up by 10 or 11). This is the most important thing in your routine because the body has its own clock and you shouldn’t mess with it.
This diet is split in 4 weeks period with the diet changing every week.
Before starting the diet weigh yourself and write it down somewhere. This way you know where you started and you feel good to see the scales going down.
Some things you need to follow this diet:
9:00 am – 1 toast (brown bread) with amul lite butter / hung curd dressing/ salad and chutney
11:30 am – one fruit of your wish
1:30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. The fibers in the salad fills u up which in turn prevents false hunger that makes u overeat.1 bran chappati (mix wheat flour and wheat bran in equal proportions.) with 1 bowl ( normal sized katori ) of dal.
5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits(just marie, no other biscuits)/ 1 small bowl bhuna channa/ 1bowl popcorn ( not the buttery act 2 ones but air popped popcorns without the butter)
7:30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 bran chappati with 1 k vegetable ( any vegetable not rajmah, channa or kadhi)
8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish
9:00 am – 1 toast (brown bread) with amul lite butter / hung curd dressing/ salad and chutney
11:30 am – one fruit of your wish
1:30 pm – A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 sandwich (2 brown breads with paneer filling, if you are a vegetarian and egg whites, if you are a non vegetarian.)
5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits
7:30 pm –A small plate of salad before starting the meal. 1 bran chappati with 1 k vegetable (this week you can take rajmah, channa or kadhi )
8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish
This week I lost just .9kgs
9:00 am - 1 glass of milk and a fruit
11:30 am – one fruit of your wish
1:30 pm – 1 bran chappati and any vegetable
5:00 pm – 1cup of milk or tea with 2 biscuits/ 1 small bowl bhuna channa/ 1bowl popcorn (not the buttery act 2 ones but air popped popcorns without the butter)
7:30 pm – 3 pcs steamed or roasted chicken or fish + salad (non vegetarians)
Any one of the following for vegetarians:
1. 1 bowl dal .+ 1 bowl curd + salad
2. 1 bowl veg + 1 bowl curd + salad
8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish
9:00 am - 1 glass of cold coffee and a bb toast
11:30 am – one fruit of your wish
1:30 pm – This week you have a lot of options which you can take alternatively.
7:30 pm – 1 bran chappati and 1 bowl vegetable.
8:30 pm – one fruit of your wish
By the end of the month you will definitely lose 3-6 kgs I lost 4.3 kgs in a month with PCOD.
when on a diet your social life won’t stop but you can still manage your weight without locking yourself at home. Some pointers for it. :
So go on a diet now and get your svelte figure back.

Some things you need to follow this diet:
- No salt after 7:30
- No aerated drinks. Yes that includes even the diet version.
- Restrict mango and banana
- Restrict potato and rice.
- No artificial juices as well.
- Half an hour of aerobic exercise daily. If u want to join a gym good enough. But if due to any reason maybe time or money constraint u can’t join a gym. All you need is a comfortable pair of shoes to do some aerobics, a skipping rope to do at least 500 skips (5 sets of 100 skips and increasing it as you go). 1.5 -2 kgs dumbbells for toning your upper body. Just these basic things and you are set.
- 20 mins of breathing exercise. ( I’m talking about Baba Ramdevs pranayam)
Week 1
8:00 am (as soon as you wake up) – 2 glasses of methi seeds water ( soak 1tsp of methi seeds in 2 glasses of water. Strain out the methi seeds and drink the water. Helps a lot in water retention and bloating) 5 soaked almonds with the skin. 1 kali mirch u don’t have to chew it just swallow it down.9:00 am – 1 toast (brown bread) with amul lite butter / hung curd dressing/ salad and chutney
11:30 am – one fruit of your wish

when on a diet your social life won’t stop but you can still manage your weight without locking yourself at home. Some pointers for it. :
- When you go out with friends try to have your lunch or dinner at subway. The healthiest option out there. Take a veggie delite sub in brown bread and eating out won’t harm your diet and weight at all. Tell them not to put mayo in it though.
- If you don’t have a say in the place of eating then make your choices sensibly. If you go to eat Chinese have rice rather than noodles. Order stir fried veggies instead of Manchurian. And control your proportions. Don’t take fried starters. Avoid those thick soups they are no good.
- When going out just pick 2 fruits before sitting in the car and eat it on your way to the venue. When you are already a little filled before going out. Your somewhat filled stomach helps your mind take the right decision.
- If eating Indian, order tandoori chappati rather than butter naan or parantha. Take less gravy since it is the most fattening.
So go on a diet now and get your svelte figure back.

Types of Computer Hardware
Computer hardware is a physical part of a computer that executes within the hardware. It is unlike computer software or data that can be frequently changed, modified or erased on a computer. Computer hardware is not frequently changed and so is stored in hardware devices such as read only memory (ROM) where it is not readily changed.
Most computer hardware is embedded and so is not visible to normal users. Below are the different types of hardware’s found in a computer.
-- Motherboard: It is the central or primary circuit board making up a complex electronic system such as a computer. A motherboard is also known as a main board, logic board or system board.
-- Central processing Unit: A CPU is the main component of a digital computer that interprets instructions and process data in computer programs.
-- Random Access Memory: A RAM allows the stored data to be accessed in any order. RAM is considered as the main memory of the computer where the working area is used for displaying and manipulating data.
-- Basic Input Output System: BIOS prepares the software programs to load, execute and control the computer.
-- Power Supply: Power Supply supplies electrical energy to an output load or group of loads.
-- Video Display Controller: It converts the logical representation of visual information into a signal that can be used as input for a display medium.
-- Computer Bus: It is used to transfer data or power between computer components inside a computer or between computers.
-- CD-ROM drive: It contains data accessible by a computer
-- Floppy disk: It is a data storage device
-- Zip Drive: It is a medium capacity removable disk storage system.
-- Hard Disk: It is a non-volatile data storage system that stores data on a magnetic surface layered unto hard disk platters.
